Art Through Collaboration
About us

Our way
Established in 2024, IZENKI Publishing is dedicated to producing high-quality, limited edition fine art books that thoughtfully present the work of contemporary artists. Based in Ontario, we take a collaborative approach—working closely with each artist to create books that reflect their unique vision while offering lasting value to collectors, galleries, and institutions. Each title is designed to be more than documentation; it’s an extension of the art itself.
IZENKI Publishing seeks to amplify unconventional and underrepresented artistic voices, supporting their recognition through carefully curated publications. With years of experience in fine art publishing, we specialize in visually striking editions that combine original photography, insightful writing, and refined design. Our commitment to ethical practices and clarity of vision ensures each book resonates both aesthetically and intellectually.
As our catalog continues to grow, we remain focused on meaningful, long-term contributions to the cultural landscape of Ontario and beyond. New projects are already underway, and each future release will continue our mission: to create art books that inspire, endure, and enrich the dialogue around contemporary art.
Meet the Founder
Founded by a dedicated supporter of contemporary art, IZENKI Publishing was established to bring greater visibility to emerging and unconventional artistic voices. With a background as a multi-disciplinary architect, as well as experience in fine art photography and graphic design, the founder brings a uniquely integrative approach to visual storytelling. Their understanding of form, balance, and visual structure informs each publication, transforming every book into a refined, immersive experience that honors the depth and complexity of the featured artwork.
IZENKI Publishing collaborates closely with contemporary artists to create limited edition art books that are both conceptually aligned and visually compelling. Each title combines original photography, thoughtful writing, and considered design to present the work in its most powerful and enduring form. The company’s values—clarity, intentionality, and artistic integrity—are rooted in the founder’s vision and continue to guide IZENKI’s evolving contributions to the fine art publishing landscape.

Guiding principles

Our Philosophy
IZENKI Publishing is driven by a core philosophy of wholeheartedly supporting artists and fostering a vibrant community around their art. Our very name, IZENKI, embodies this commitment. In an obsolete form of the Russian language, “Zenki” signifies “eyes,” reflecting our deep focus on visual art and the unique perspectives of artists. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese “Zen Ki,” meaning “good zen energy” – the inherent positive force to do things in the right way – and “Right Effort” – the focused and ethical application of our energy towards the goal of supporting artists and achieving meaningful outcomes.
Therefore, the core philosophy of IZENKI Publishing is to actively support artists by meticulously publishing high-quality art books in limited editions. Recognizing the challenges artists face in the traditional publishing landscape, where large companies often lack a nuanced understanding of art and prioritize mass-market appeal, IZENKI Publishing is intentionally artist-focused. We believe that the “Right Effort” involves a deeply collaborative approach, constantly communicating with artists, diligently collecting all necessary materials for their art books through our own photography and writing, and crafting a minimal graphic design that respectfully and accurately showcases their artistic visions.
Understanding that our current profit margins are minimal as we build our reputation, IZENKI Publishing’s success is intrinsically linked to the artists we serve. Therefore, we prioritize working with artists who have established online presences, such as websites and social media accounts, to facilitate direct sales of their art books. Recognizing that not all artists have these resources, IZENKI Publishing is committed to suggesting ways to create them and, where possible, offering guidance on their development, even if it extends beyond our core publishing activities. Our overarching goal is to genuinely help artists thrive and foster friendly, collaborative relationships. While IZENKI Publishing is a for-profit organization, our primary goal is not immediate profit, but rather to wholeheartedly support artists and foster a thriving community around their work. We believe that by prioritizing these values and building strong relationships with artists and their audiences, our reputation and sustainable profitability will naturally follow in the future. This means the Right Effort for us.
